UPDATE @ 10:45 a.m. (May 13):
A natural gas line damaged after an SUV crashed into the back of the Bill’s Donut Shop building Sunday has been repaired, according to a business owner.
Gas has also been turned back on but employees estimate it will be at least an hour before they can start making doughnuts again. The shop is still able to make and sell pastries that do not require using fryers.
“We are still way behind, but we are up and running. Within a few hours we should be back up to speed,” co-owner Jim Elam told this news outlet.
“We are not closed, but we have a limited supply for the time being,” Elam said.

FIRST REPORT
Bill’s Donut Shop has reopened in Centerville and is selling the remaining doughnuts that were made before an SUV crashed into the back of the building Sunday afternoon, according to an employee of the business.
Crews were dispatched to the crash around 1 p.m. per initial reports.
The driver of an SUV told News Center 7’s Sean Cudahy they hit the gas pedal instead of the brake and struck the back of the building.
The crash damaged a natural gas line, which forced Vectren to shut off gas service to the business, temporarily closing the store.
