3 flee from stolen car, 2 taken to hospital after crash in Dayton

UPDATED @ 4:45 p.m.:

Three suspects fled from the scene on Hillcrest Avenue after they crashed a stolen car from Harrison Twp., according to Sgt. Trupp.

A Toyota Corolla was traveling south on Woodway Avenue when the driver ran a stop sign, struck a Chevy Malibu that was traveling west on Hillcrest Avenue, and then came to rest by striking a house.

Three suspects, who are still at large, then fled on foot from the Toyota Corolla before police arrived, said Sgt. Trupp.

The two occupants of the Chevy Malibu were taken to Miami Valley Hospital with minor injuries.

The crash is still under investigation.

Three males have fled the scene of a crash that caused a vehicle to hit a house in Dayton Sunday.

Emergency crews responded to the area of Hillcrest Avenue near Rugby Road and Catalpa Drive just after 3 p.m.

According to Montgomery County Regional Dispatch, two vehicles crashed at the intersection of Hillcrest Ave. and Rugby Rd.

At least one vehicle struck a house during the incident, according to dispatch.

The three males who reportedly fled were last seen northbound on Rugby Rd. in a parking lot, according to dispatchers.

It’s not known how many people were involved in the crash or if anyone was injured.
