JAMESTOWN — An area village is telling its residents to watch their water use after major water main breaks.

Jamestown posted on social media that two significant water main breaks are causing a “temporary strain” on the water supply.
The water main breaks are at East Xenia and West Xenia streets.

“We are asking all residents to please be mindful of your water usage today and through the night as the repairs are made, and to help conserve water by avoiding unnecessary water usage,” the post reads.
A boil advisory has not been issued but the village said “it is possible in the future.”
