Silvercreek Twp. Fire Chief Steve Payton told News Center 7 that what exactly happened is under investigation, but it appeared something may have gotten caught on a lever inside the trackhoe, causing it to hit the man.
The worker was taken to Miami Valley Hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.
“He is one of the best workers we have here in Jamestown. He really cares about the village,” Payton said about the injured worker. “It’s a shame for him to go down.”
