Head Kevin Stefanski announced Wednesday that second-year quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson will start Sunday’s game against the Bengals.

“Wanted to give him an opportunity and give him an entire week to prepare as a starter,” he said. “So, that’s what went into the decision.”

Jameis Winston took over as the starter in Week 8 after Deshaun Watson’s season-ending Achilles injury in Week 7.

“He’s a pro,” Stefanski said of Winston. “He wants to do whatever he can do to help this football team. He’ll continue to do that.

In four games, Thompson-Robinson has completed 15 of 34 passes for 100 yards. He’s also thrown three interceptions and been sacked once.

Cincinnati hosts Cleveland for the second time this season on Sunday at Paycor Stadium. Kickoff is at 1 p.m.

The game will be televised here on Channel 7. It will also be broadcast on WHIO Radio.
