Man facing reckless homicide, other charges for January overdose death

WASHINGTON TWP. — UPDATE @ 10:30 a.m.: 

A Washington Twp. man is facing several charges including reckless homicide in connection to the overdose death of another man in January.

Peter David Ziemba, 43, was indicted on several criminal charges Thursday including reckless homicide, involuntary manslaughter, corrupting another with drugs, and other charges, according to court records.

The victim, Robert Korn, 31, of Miamisburg, died Jan. 18 at a home on Rising Spring Court in Washington Twp. from multiple drug intoxication and his death was ruled an accident, according to the Montgomery Coroner’s Office.

A toxicology report found carfentanyl, fentanyl, cocaine and other drugs were in Korn’s system when he died, a coroner’s office official said.

A warrant for Ziemba’s arrest was issued, however he is not listed in custody at any local jail.

A 43-year-old Washington Twp. man was indicted Thursday on seven felony counts, including reckless homicide, according to a Montgomery County grand jury report.

Peter David Ziemba was indicted by a Montgomery County grand jury for one count of reckless homicide, two counts of involuntary manslaughter, two counts of corrupting another with drugs, and two drug charges, including trafficking and possession of cocaine.

The victim is listed as Robert Korn, the reports shows. The details surrounding Korn’s death were not immediately available.

A warrant was issued in Montgomery County for Ziemba’s arrest on Thursday.

He is not currently listed on any jail sites.
