WATCH: Body camera footage shows wild turkey break into Ohio home

MIAMI TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Police responded to an unusual call at an Ohio home on Monday.

Miami Township police were dispatched to a home after a wild turkey broke through a glass window and flew into a room.

Body camera footage released by the police department in a social media post shows the turkey flying around the room after shattering the glass window.

The footage shows someone trying to capture the turkey as it attempts to escape through the window.

The police department described the incident as “unbelievably wild.”

“Police officers get calls for everything, but this was the first time we’ve been dispatched for a wild turkey breaking into a house...and then breaking out,” the police department said in the post.

The video eventually shows the animal flying out of the same windows it broke through. It’s unknown what happened to the turkey after it escaped.
