A Riverside family thankful to their delivery drivers left out snacks on their porch, and video captured just how appreciative one DoorDash driver was.
Michelle Hern and her family do a lot of online shopping around the holidays. She leaves out a basket of snacks and drinks on her porch for for UPS, USPS, FedEx, or even DoorDash drivers to show them in a small way that they are appreciated.

One DoorDash driver’s reaction was recently caught on the family’s Ring doorbell camera.
While on FaceTime, the driver drops off the delivery and notices the basket of treats.
He can be heard telling the person he’s talking to, “Hey, look this is so neat. I’m at this house, right? And they have a little basket out here with treats for delivery drivers! And we can pick something that we want. This is so cool, yo!”
After a hard decision between all the goodies in the basket, he settled on a Butterfinger and a Lifesavers roll of candy. He let out an exuberant “woo!” on his way back to his car.
Hern said she and her family got a big kick out of the video, which she shared on social media.
“You could tell it meant something to him,” she said.
She hopes other people will follow the trend and think of small ways to show their mail carriers and delivery drivers that they are appreciated around this time of the year.
