WATCH: First responders nearly hit by car while responding to crash on icy highway

FAIRBORN, Greene County — Emergency crews responding to a crash on Interstate 675 were nearly hit after another car slid off the highway.

The crash happened during icy conditions in Fairborn just after 7 a.m. on Dec. 11, according to the Fairborn Police Department.

First responders approach the car after it comes to a stop in the median.

It’s unclear if anyone was hurt during this crash.

Ahead of the upcoming winter storm, the Fairborn Police Department asks drivers to slow down and increase their distance while following other cars.

The department said they are working to make sure emergency services are not interrupted during the storm.

A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for several counties in the Miami Valley until midnight on Tuesday.

Storm Center 7 meteorologists said some area could see at least six inches of snow.
