DAYTON — A Dayton house was damaged after it was struck by lightning during Wednesday’s storms.

Firefighters were called to respond to the 3100 block of Wayne Avenue shortly before 12:30 p.m. for a reported lightning strike to a home, according to Dayton Fire Captain Brad French.
Home security footage sent to News Center 7 by a neighbor captures the moments when the house was reportedly struck.

When on scene, crews discovered damage to the roof and side of the home, French said. No fire was reported in or around the house.
The local power utility company was also called to the scene to evaluate the house.
There were no reported injuries.
