COLUMBUS — The Waynesville Lady Spartans soccer team are state champions.
The Lady Spartans defeated Ottawa-Glandorf 1-0 to claim the Division III Girls State Championship.

Waynesville and Ottawa-Glandorf were tied at halftime, but the Lady Spartans scored the lone goal in the second half to secure the win.
The win marks the program’s first state championship in school history.
