‘We just don’t have the resources;’ Local restaurant closes Brookville location

BROOKVILLE — A local restaurant location has announced that they will only be open for one more week in a social media post.

Scramble and Cafe 19 says that their finances, resources and traffic are not stable enough to sustain business at their Brookville location.

“Our costs of goods have gone up substantially this year and it makes it even harder to figure out another way to pull it off,” the post said.

Brookville Scramble and Cafe 19′s last day will be Jan. 4, but their Englewood and West Milton locations will remain open.

Any unused gift cards can be used at the other locations, the post says.

“We hate to become another statistic of this location and I did everything in my power to not let it happen, we just don’t have the resources to continue on without taking everything down in the process,” the post said. “Thank you all for the memories that scramble has made, the friends that we’ve made along the way and I hope to see you again!”
