DETAILED FORECAST:
TODAY: Cloudy with rain likely, especially in the southeastern Miami Valley.
Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist McCall Vrydaghs says Dayton and areas to the southeast could see up to 1″ of rain, with lesser amounts northwest.
This will be a very helpful rain for our drought but not great for outdoor Veterans Day services. It will become breezy, too with some gusts up to 30mph by evening. Temperatures will waver through the 50s throughout the day. Drying out Friday night with decreasing clouds from the northwest, but still breezy and colder.
Temperatures will dip to a low near freezing into early Saturday morning.
SATURDAY: A cold and blustery day is expected for Saturday that may start with a few flurries or light snow showers that may mix with some chilly rain before ending.
Temperatures will climb to a high of around 40 degrees, A few passing flurries may return across the northern Miami Valley in the afternoon and evening due to a lake effect fetch from Lake Michigan.
SUNDAY: Partly sunny and cold again on Sunday with a high near 40 degrees. A few flurries may return, mainly north.
MONDAY: A bitter cold bus stop forecast. Temps will be in the low 20s. Mostly sunny and cool day around 40 degrees.
TUESDAY: Mostly cloudy and chilly on Tuesday. Another quick-moving system may bring the chance of rain/snow showers to the Miami Valley. Temperatures are expected to reach the lower 40s.
WEDNESDAY: Mostly cloudy and chilly again, but dry. Highs around 40 degrees.
THURSDAY: Mostly sunny and chilly. Highs around 40 degrees.
