The chances to see a White Christmas are looking pretty good this year.

A White Christmas means there is at least 1 inch of snow on the ground Christmas Day, and it looks like we’ll at least have that.

Our next snow-maker moves in on Christmas Eve, and it’s expected to drop a decent amount of snow. Most areas will likely pick up around 2 inches, but some spots could see more than 3 inches.

The best chance to see the higher snowfall totals will be northwest of Dayton. This snow likely will add up through the day, but the best chance for the accumulating snow will come in the later afternoon and evening. The snow will end overnight into Christmas morning.

Temperatures overnight Sunday into Monday are expected to stay well below freezing, so we’re not anticipating any snow to melt .

The last time we had a white Christmas in the Miami Valley was in 2010.
