WHIO-TV Anchor James Brown provides update to recent back surgery

DAYTON — A lot of News Center 7 viewers have been asking where anchor James Brown has been for the last few weeks.

Brown took to social media on Wednesday to answer some of those questions.

“Three weeks ago today, Wednesday, I had some extensive back surgery. It’s my second surgery in about six months. I’m moving in the right direction, but I wanted to let you all know I’m doing well and moving in the right direction. I’ve been joking with folks who are reaching out to me wanting to know what’s going on – I’ve been telling them that I graduated from the walker to the cane, so I consider that progress. I want to thank everyone who’s checked on me and all the viewers out there - you guys are great. All my co-workers as well making sure I’m not getting in trouble with my boss, i.e., my wife.”
