Woman, 27, arrested after a shooting in Sidney Sunday morning

SIDNEY — UPDATE:

A Sidney woman accused of allegedly shooting her former boyfriend Sunday morning had her arraignment delayed Monday morning.

Brianna Wilson, 27, was charged with felonious assault asked for more time to get her own attorney.

According to police, Robert Parker, 33, was wounded in the assault that reportedly happened outside his apartment in the 300 block of East South Street. Police said Parker is in serious condition at Miami Valley Hospital.

Police in Sidney is asking if you have any information regarding the assault, please contact them.

Wilson is scheduled to appear again in court on Dec. 7 for her arraignment.

A woman was arrested and charged in connection to a shooting that took place around 6:45 a.m. in Sidney Sunday.

Police responded to the 300 block of East South Street and found a man, 33, lying in the grass with a gunshot wound to his abdomen.

The victim was taken to Wilson Health then CareFlighted to Miami Valley Hospital.

Details on his condition are not currently available.

After further investigation, police were able to speak with witnesses and recover the handgun believed to be used during the shooting.

The person responsible for the shooting, Brianna T. Wilson, 27, was arrested and charged with Felonious Assault.

The Sidney Police Department is continuing to investigate the shooting and we will update you as we learn more.
