Officers and medics were dispatched at around 12:02 p.m. to the intersection of Spring Street and North Street in Piqua on initial reports of a car into a house.
Medics transported the woman driver first to Upper Valley Medical Center. She was taken by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital with broken ribs and a leg injury, Piqua Police told News Center 7.
The woman is listed in stable condition.
News Center 7′s Taylor Robertson spoke to the house owner Sunday afternoon and said she is praying for the female driver that crashed into the house.
Sandy Reid said her husband and son were getting ready to celebrate Father’s Day and their 46th wedding anniversary but that came to a halt when a car came crashing into their house with all of them inside.
“We were on the other side, my son was upstairs, upstairs clear in the back, thankfully, and when we ran out, (the driver) was trapped in her car,” said Reid.

Images from the scene show damage to the house, including the bed frame in the upstairs bedroom and even decorations hanging on the wall in the living room.
“It all kind of came down at once and that’s why it’s got to be, you know, structurally fixed,” Reid told Robertson. “They’re going to shore it up, we’re just thankful nobody got hurt.”
There were also several cats inside their house.
“We’re still looking for some of our cats,” she said. “We found three of them now, they’re hiding for the most part, nobody was killed and that’s the main thing. We’re still praying for the lady and that’s all we can do right now.”
