DARKE COUNTY — A 22-year-old woman is in the hospital after crashing into a creek in Darke County Saturday afternoon.

The crash occurred in the 6800 block of Gettysburg Webster Road at approximately 2:47 p.m., according to a spokesperson with the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.

A preliminary investigation found that a woman was driving a Honda Accord northbound on Gettysburg Webster Road when the crash happened.
The spokesperson said the driver went off the right side of the road and crashed into a guardrail and a creek embankment.
The woman was taken to Upper Valley Medical Center for her injuries.
