PERRY TWP., Montgomery County — The son of a woman found dead in a Perry Twp. home Wednesday after remains in jail on a preliminary charge of murder, records show.
Donna Walter, 60, was found dead in the Brookville Pyrmont Road house by a woman who identified herself as the victim’s best friend.

"She's upstairs I yelled her name she did not answer,” the 911 caller told dispatchers. “There’s a lot of blood.”
The caller told police the victim’s son, Taylor Walter, was violent and had threatened to kill her.

Taylor Walter was taken into custody in the Englewood Meijer parking lot after officers found the SUV he had been driving, investigators said.
He’s currently in the Montgomery County Jail on a preliminary charge of murder and domestic violence. Formal charges have not been approved.
Officers responded around 2:15 p.m. to the house in the 13000 block of Brookville Pyrmont Road.
The Perry Twp. Police Department said they are investigating Donna Walter’s death as a homicide.
The 911 caller said she came to the house after Donna Walter’s sister called and asked her to go to the house to check on Walter.
When the 911 caller got to the house she said Walter’s body was upstairs and it appeared she was bleeding from the head.
The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office will perform an autopsy to determine how Donna Walter died.
Taylor Walter has a lengthy criminal history and has been booked into the Montgomery County Jail as recently as late last month.
On Jan. 27, he was charged by Perry Twp. police with drug abuse instruments and driving under suspension.
He also was charged with domestic violence in November.
The 27-year-old was indicted by a grand jury in December for aggravated possession of methamphetamine and had an upcoming court appearance. He was asking for intervention in lieu of a conviction, online records show.
Taylor Walter was convicted for having a weapon when he shouldn’t have in May 2018.
