Woman pins mother with car, killing her; injures 2 officers

CLERMONT COUNTY — A woman is accused of killing her mother and injuring two officers in Clermont County Saturday.

Miami Township officers were called to a home on Deerhaven Court for an argument between a daughter and her mother, according to Miami Township Police Chief Mike Mills.

The daughter, Anna Millette, 23, used a car to pin her mother, Joyce Millette, 64, against the garage wall, body camera video shows.

Officers arrived on the scene and attempted to break out the car windows to free Joyce but Anna reversed, hitting the two officers.

An Officer was able to chase her, which ended when Anna crashed on I-275 near Loveland.

She is being treated for her injuries and then will be booked into the Clermont County Jail for the suspected murder of her mother and felonious assault on police officers.

Joyce died from her injuries. The officers sustained minor injuries.

Press Release June 15, 2024 UPDATE at 3:40PM: Joyce Millette 64 has sucome to her injuries and is now deceased. Anna Millette 23 is being treated at University Hospital for injuries sustained from her auto crash when fleeing. Upon release from the hospital, she will be incarcerated in the Clermont County jail for murder and felonious assault on police officers. This release will be updated soon with a short body cam video that shows the danger the officers were involved in.  Mike Mills Chief of Police ————————————————————- Miami Township Police Detectives are currently investigating an attempted homicide on Deerhaven Court Officers were dispatch this morning for a domestic situation between an adult daughter and mother. The daughter used a vehicle to pin the mother against the garage wall. As officers arrived, trying to break out the vehicle windows to free the woman, the driver reversed and struck two officers. An Officer was able to pursue her, which ended as the driver crashed on I-275 near Loveland. The officers were able to gain control by tasing the driver and taking her into custody. The officers who were struck sustain minor injuries due to their quick actions. We will not be identifying anyone involved since family members have yet to be notified.
