Officers on the scene are still trying to sort out details about what led to the incident.
The female victim was transported to Miami Valley Hospital and a male who was involved in the incident is at Springfield Regional Hospital. Their conditions are unknown at this time.
It’s unclear if the woman, who has not been identified, was stabbed or slashed in the face with a sharp object, police said, adding that they’ve not determined if this was a domestic incident.

Crews are responding after a woman was reportedly stabbed in the face Wednesday morning.

Initial reports indicate the stabbing occurred around 2 a.m. in the 300 block of Ludlow Avenue.
Another individual on scene also reportedly suffered lacerations in the incident, according to emergency scanner traffic.
The condition of the woman was not released, though Careflight was called to meet medics at an area hospital where she was transported, initial reports indicate.
Details surrounding the stabbing were not immediately available.
