CLAYTON — A high-speed chase that started in West Milton ended with a crash in Clayton Tuesday afternoon.
Around 5 p.m. West Milton police spotted a car driving at a high rate of speed and attempted to stop it, according to West Milton Police Chief Doyle Wright.
The car did not stop and a chase started.

The driver led officers on a chase through Union and ended up in Clayton.
Around 5:30 p.m. the car was traveling south on state Route 48 just north of Sweet Potato Ridge Road when they hit a curb, driving off the roadway, according to a spokesperson for Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The car then hit a utility box, fire hydrant, traffic sign, and a utility pole before overturning.
A woman and her two juvenile passengers, a 6-year-old and a 2-year-old were all taken to the hospital with serious injuries, according to OSP.
Joe Gorney was home when the crash happened.
By the time Gorney and his wife got outside, he said the car had caught fire.
“Police officer had the driver outside on the ground and then he was pulling the first child out and by the time we got out there to help the other child was pulled out and at that time the car started catching fire and we moved the children further away from the vehicle and waited until paramedics arrived,” Gorney said.
Gorney said it was a tough scene to witness.
Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
