FAIRBORN — The Wright State baseball team will play Virginia Tech Friday in Blacksburg, VA in the Blacksburg Regional to begin the 2022 NCAA Baseball playoffs. The Blacksburg Regional is from June 3-6.

The Raiders found out Monday afternoon as the field of 64 was announced. The other teams in the Blacksburg Regional are second seeded Gonzaga and third seeded Columbia.

This is the second straight year that Wright State has qualified for the NCAA Baseball Tournament, their 2021 season ended last year in the Knoxville Regional.
The Raiders earned an automatic bid into this year’s tournament by winning the Horizon League Tournament this past weekend on campus.
Wright State has a 30-25 record this season.
