CINCINNATI — Some people are looking ahead to the approaching Chinese New Year and thinking it could be a good omen for the Cincinnati Bengals.
The team’s playoff run coincides with the “Year of the Tiger,” which starts next week.

Superstitious stripes fans hope that could be a good sign for the Bengal’s, as they leave the jungle down at Paul Brown Stadium and head to Kansas City for the AFC Championship game against the Chiefs.
The Oriental Wok’s two restaurant locations in Cincinnati are celebrating the approaching Chinese New Year and the Bengal’s playoff wins with special tiger beer imported from Singapore, tiger shrimp, and adding other special and hopefully lucky menu items.
“I think it’s just amazing,” said Susanna Wong, owner of Oriental Wok. “What are the chances? I think it’s no coincidence and we’re doing everything we can to celebrate the year of the tiger along with the Bengal Tigers.”
Wong says Bengals players come to her family’s restaurants occasionally.
The Chinese New Year officially starts on February 2nd, two days after the AFC Championship Game on Sunday.
