YELLOW SPRINGS — After declaring a pandemic state of emergency Tuesday evening, the Village of Yellow Springs is canceling this year’s Street Fair.
The Yellow Springs Chamber of Commerce made the announcement on their Facebook page Thursday afternoon, citing the “increasing COVID threat in Greene County.”

The fall Street Fair was scheduled to take place Oct. 9.
The Chamber Board said in the statement that the decision to cancel the event did not come easily.
Vendor applications have been closed and the Chamber Board said they are communicating directly with those who had previously applied.
