UPDATE: WPAFB Airman killed in Fairborn motorcycle crash, coroner says

FAIRBORN — UPDATE @ 2:20 p.m. (Aug. 21):

An Airman stationed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base has been identified as the victim of a deadly motorcycle crash in Fairborn, according to the Greene County Coroner’s Office.

Curtis Stout, 22, died after the single-vehicle crash on Zink Road around 1:30 p.m. Thursday. A coroner’s office investigator said Stout was an Airman stationed at Wright-Patterson.

Stout’s official cause of death was still under investigation, according to the coroner’s office.

FIRST REPORT (Aug. 20):

A motorcyclist was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Zink Road in Fairborn Thursday afternoon, according to police.

The crash was reported on Zink Road and Eagle Highlands Drive, north of Col. Glenn Highway around 1:30 p.m.

The identity of the victim was not released, pending notification of family and investigation by the Greene County Coroner’s Office.

Police said neither alcohol nor drugs appear to be factors in the crash.

Zink Road was shut down for hours while police investigated the crash. The road reopened around 4:30 p.m.
