Logan County Jail does not want to see you this New Year’s Eve

LOGAN COUNTY — The Logan County Sheriff’s Office shared advice to residents on how to avoid spending New Year’s Eve at the Logan County Jail.

“While our communications officers, corrections officers, and road deputies provide great accommodations and customer service when you arrive at the Logan County Jail, we do not want to see you for New Year’s Eve...” the spokesperson with Logan County Sheriff’s Office said on their social media page.

Before heading out for holiday celebrations, plan a designated driver to take you and your group home if alcohol is involved.

Do not ever drink and drive, the spokesperson said. Call 911 immediately if you see a drunk driver.

If you are hosting the celebration, make sure everyone has a sober ride home and do not let someone get behind the wheel if they have been drinking, the spokesperson said.

Always wear your seatbelt, the spokesperson said. It is your best defense against drunk drivers.
