Medical professionals stand in support of Dr. Acton at the Ohio Statehouse, 6 feet apart

COLUMBUS — Medical professionals gathered at the Ohio Statehouse Sunday in support of Dr. Acton after protesters showed up at her home on Saturday -- and maintained social distancing guidelines in their demonstration.

“There’s a lot of push back to social distancing, to taking care of people by staying home. And we need to reinforce Dr. Acton and Governor DeWine’s message,” Dr. Anita Somani of Columbus said.

Around 30 healthcare workers wearing masks held homemade signs and maintained distance, marked by red rope held in the hands of those in the demonstration.

“Social distancing works, we know that from history. We know that staying safe and taking care of our patients will help all of us.”
