The first governor debate of 2018 will be Wednesday night at the University of Dayton.

WHIO-TV, Dayton Daily News and WHIO Radio are the media partners for the debate and have it covered for you from all angles.

The governor race between Republican Mike DeWine and Democrat Richard Cordray is a dead-heat in the polls, one of the closest in the nation and expected to be one of the most expensive.

How to watch

You can watch the debate live at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept.  19 on WHIO-TV Channel 7. You can also stream it on DaytonDailyNews.com and WHIO.com.

The debate will also be streamed on the WHIO Facebook page, as well as on the WHIO app for streaming devices like Roku, Amazon Fire, and Apple TV.  Details here on how to find the app, and other devices where it's available.

If you miss watching live, the full debate will also be available on-demand on the WHIO app for your streaming device.
