MONTGOMERY COUNTY — The National Weather Service has officially confirmed a “brief and weak” EF1 tornado that touched down in Montgomery and Butler County.
A final assessment reported that an EF1 tornado touched down Friday evening at approximately 8:38 p.m. The assessment stated the tornado touched down in “extreme” southwest Montgomery County, southeast of Gratis and traveled approximately 2.8 miles before lifting in northwest Butler County, southwest of Germantown.

Maximum wind speed for this tornado was estimated to be 90-95 mph.
Damage was mostly to trees, but minor roof damage to a home and barn on Oxford Road was reported.
