SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — A Florida man dressed in an Easter Bunny costume was arrested last Thursday after he attempted to evade deputies following a hit-and-run crash in Seminole County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

A trooper was dispatched to a traffic crash involving a motorcycle, officials said.

Investigators said the driver failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a carport, which collapsed on a vehicle in the driveway.

Troopers said the motorcycle struck a chain link fence and flipped over. The motorcycle driver was seen limping across the yard, troopers said.

A Seminole County Sheriff's Office deputy and a trooper said they went to the driver's address and saw a gray Nissan Rouge exit the driveway and travel down Terry Drive.

Troopers said they conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and found the motorcycle driver lying in the back seat of the car wearing an Easter Bunny costume.

The man appeared to be alive and was taken out of the car with some assistance, troopers said.

Troopers identified the man as Antoine Tyrkee McDonald. They said he was attempting to evade arrest with the assistance of the driver and passenger of the Nissan Rouge.

The Easter Bunny costume was removed for safety reasons and McDonald was placed under arrest, troopers said.

McDonald was sent a hospital due to injuries he suffered in the crash, officials said. He was later transported to the Seminole County Jail.

McDonald was also the man who wore an Easter Bunny costume during a fight in downtown Orlando last April.
