Power restored; Nearly 4,000 Montgomery County residents were without power today

MONTGOMERY COUNTY — UPDATE @ 5:35 p.m.:

Power has been restored for most Montgomery County residents.

The DP&L outage map reports all but 215 now have power in Montgomery County.

UPDATE @ 5:05 p.m.:

At 5 p.m. there are 3,729 Montgomery County residents without power, according to the DP&L outage map.

The outage was caused by an issue in Kettering that locked out 3 neighborhoods, causing them to lose power, DP&L spokesperson Mary Ann Kabel told WHIO.

Kabel reports crews are currently on scene and DP&L customers should expect their power to be back on within the hour.

The DP&L outage map reports 3,720 power outages in Montgomery County at 4:45 p.m.

WHIO has reached out to DP&L to learn the cause of the outages.
