LIBERTY TWP. — A new contemporary Mexican restaurant opened its first Cincinnati area location today, Sept. 27, at Liberty Center.
Cantina Laredo at 7125 Fountain View Drive serves authentic, modern Mexican food, plus top shelf margaritas and specialty sangrias.
Menu items are “fresh-made Mexican food with a modern flair” and include dishes like Chilean Sea Bass served with a jalapeno beurre blanc sauce; Chipotle Pollo fajitas served with a chipotle-wine sauce, bacon, mushrooms and melted Monterey jack cheese; and Cantina Laredo’s Top Shelf Guacamole, prepared fresh tableside.
An ample drink menu features a selection of more than 35 tequilas, hand-squeezed, lime-juice margaritas, including Cantina Laredo’s signature, award-winning Casa ‘Rita, plus mojitos, coladas and sangrias.
Complimentary chips paired with two salsas are provided with each visit.
The 4,400-square-foot restaurant will seat about 200 guests, and will include a 525-square-foot patio.
“We’re thrilled to be bringing this concept to the greater Cincinnati area,” local general manager Joe Poye said in a press release. “We aim to provide guests with an authentic taste of Mexican cooking by using fresh ingredients and preparing everything in-house. Whether it’s date night, happy hour, a working lunch or Sunday brunch, we have signature specialty dishes that will satisfy any taste.”
Cantina Laredo first opened in 1984 in Addison, a suburb of Dallas, Texas. There are 35 locations of the restaurant in the United States, plus one in Abu Dhabi and one in London.
The Liberty Center location marks Cantina Laredo’s second Ohio location, with the first having opened in 2009 in Columbus.
