Pot-eating pig: Free to a good home

A Washington County, Ohio man is offering his pet pig for free to a good home after a weekend incident with deputies that left him facing charges of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

Deputies discovered Chad Spohn, 44, intoxicated on the porch of his home in Waterford, Ohio. According to a sheriff’s office report, dispatchers spoke to Spohn and his wife, he reported he was suicidal and upset over his pending divorce.

Once on scene, Sgt. Mankins said deputies determined Spohn had consumed an entire bottle of Everclear, and was upset that his pet pig Millie had eaten his personal supply of marijuana.

Sgt. Mankins was not certain how much marijuana the pig had eaten.

Deputies had to utilize their taser to get Spohn in to custody. He was booked in to the Washington County jail on two misdemeanor charges of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct by intoxication. A check of the jail’s roster shows Spohn is no longer in custody.

A post to his Facebook page states he is giving away his pig, her food and cage for free, that he doesn’t have time for her anymore.
