OHIO — There were 10 fatal crashes, killing 13, this Thanksgiving holiday in Ohio, according to a report by the Ohio State Highway Patrol. While the number of fatal crashes is less than last year, two more people were killed.
In 2020, there were 11 fatal crashes in which 11 people were killed.
Of those killed four were not wearing a seatbelt, three involved impaired driving, and one was a pedestrian.

The five-day reporting period took place from Wednesday, Nov. 24 through Sunday night Nov. 28. Portage contained the most incidents per county, followed by Franklin.
Troopers issued citations to 669 drivers for failure to wear a seat belt and made 300 arrests for operating a vehicle while impaired. Both numbers decreased from last year, according to the report.
