Ohio Task Force 1 (OH-TF1) was officially demobilized Sunday morning and will be returning home from Florida’s Gulf Coast.

The rescue team was conducting missions in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian, according to a press release from Ohio Task Force 1′s spokesperson.
OH-TF1 helped clean up the destruction in various different ways such as;
- Rescued a handful of people from precarious situations
- Evacuated dozens of people and pets
- Checked on people who were sheltering in place
- Assisted local officials in searching for missing persons
- Conducted over 4500 house-by-house searches
- Recorded data on structure damage and hazards for authorities

The rescue team’s safe arrival into Ohio has yet to be announced, the spokesperson said.
