COLERAIN TOWNSHIP — One person is dead after crashing into a Shell gas station near the intersection of Colerain Avenue and Banning Road Wednesday night, according to our news partners at WCPO.

Around 10 p.m., the crash shut down Colerain Avenue as police responded to the scene, WCPO said.
Police stated that a person was driving a Ford Explorer at a ‘ridiculous speed,’ hit another car, lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the Shell gas station, WCPO reported.

According to police, the driver was taken to UC Medical Center where he later died, WCPO said.
Investigators will not be releasing the identify until after the family has been notified, WCPO reported.
