“While the agency will stop selling Day Passes—which cost $4 per day—customers can get unlimited travel at a cheaper rate on Tapp Pay, as the system caps daily travel at $3 per day,” RTA said.
Over 300 retail outlets located around the area of RTA bus routes, customers are given the option to convert their cash in to Tapp Pay value. The agency will stop selling Day Passes but overall, the RTA says it will save people around a dollar a day.
RTA previously stopped selling paper passes used on fare boxes in April.
