Santa brings extra holiday spirit to Miami Valley Hospital NICU

Santa made a trip to visit the Miami Valley Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

With the help of nurses at Miami Valley, a cutout of Santa was used to visit families in the NICU to take pictures with ‘extra holiday spirit,’ according to a spokesperson with Premier Health Miami Valley Hospital.

Considering the rise in respiratory illnesses across the region, a cutout of Santa was used to decrease the risk of possible infection, the spokesperson said.

Christmas blankets and hats were gifted to the babies and parents as well, the spokesperson said.
