HOUSTON, OH — A stretch of State Route 66 from Houston Road to Roeth Road in Shelby County was renamed in memory of Army Sgt. 1st Class Charles Gregory Huston, a graduate of Houston High School, today in Houston.
The Ohio House of Representatives and Ohio Senate passed House Bill 276 recently with this designation.
Huston was on patrol in Laos in March 1968 when his unit came under attack. He is the only Shelby Countian still listed as missing in action.
His remains were never recovered and his status remains unknown.
The Ceremony was held this morning on the grounds of Houston High School where Huston graduated, then enlisted into the Army.
