COLUMBUS — Gov. Mike DeWine has declared October as FAFSA completion month in Ohio.
The Ohio FAFSA Completion Initiative is to stress the importance of having students complete their Free Application for Federal Student Aid to apply for school funding.
“I believe every Ohio child should have the opportunity to achieve their dream,” DeWine said.
FAFSA completion month is the first part of the Ohio Department of Higher Education’s “3 to Get Ready” campaign.

This campaign is to help high school students prepare for their college education by applying for financial aid, submitting college applications and selecting where they’ll pursue that degree.
The statewide initiative focuses on three aspects: the Ohio FAFSA Completion Initiative, Ohio College Application Month and College Signing Day.
The financial aid filling season officially begins Oct. 1 at fafsa.gov.
