UPDATE @ 8:25 p.m.:
The 19-year-old male who was having trouble getting out of the Greenville Creek Tuesday night was rescued with no apparent injuries.
He was swimming in the creek when the current pulled him under, according to Officer McRill of the Greenville Police Department.
Crews arrived on scene quickly and were able to pull him to safety, Officer McRill stated.

FIRST REPORT:
Police, fire and rescue units have been sent to the Greenville Creek in the 1800 block of East Main Street for a water rescue of a 19-year-old male.
His head is above water and he is having trouble getting out.

The incident was dispatched around 6:50 p.m.
