NEW RICHMOND — One person is dead and another is in critical condition after a crash in Clermont County early Sunday.
Just before 4:30 a.m. Ohio State Highway Patrol and surrounding agencies were called to a crash on Bethel-New Richmond Road near Regatta Drive, according to a media release.
An initial investigation found that a Hyundai Genesis driven by Jacob Crawford, 20, of Batavia was traveling westbound on Bethel-New Richmond Road when he failed to navigate a curve and traveled off the right side of the road.

The Hyundai continued and hit two wooded crosses, a ditch, and a house before landing on its left side.
Crawford was pronounced dead on the scene.
His passenger, Jacob McCulley, 18, of New Richmond was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.
OSHP said the crash remains under investigation.
