Cincinnati Police were dispatched to Harrison Avenue, in the Westwood neighborhood, shortly before 12 a.m. on reports of a shooting, WCPO reported.
As officers arrived, they discovered a 21-year-old man and two children, under 18 years old, suffering from gunshot wounds.
Officers suspected that the shooter fired from a nearby parking lot in an apparent drive-by shooting. The shooter then shot multiple rounds into the common area of an apartment building where it almost hit another resident, an investigator with the Cincinnati Police Department said.
The second shooting was reported on Westwood Avenue in South Fairmount.
Police, responding to the address, found two men and one woman with gunshot wounds. However, they were expected to survive through their non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators did not disclose which hospitals the victims were treated at. They also refrained from divulging more information about any leads on the shooters.
The two shooting locations were approximately four minutes apart.
Investigators did not state whether or not the shootings were connected.
The Cincinnati Police Department led the investigation into the shootings.
