Amber Alert for 10-year girl canceled; Child safe, police say

GROVE CITY — An earlier Amber Alert has been canceled.

A missing 10-year-old child has been recovered and is safe.

The Grove City Police Department issued the statewide alert after it said Miangel Thomas, 10, was taken just before 11:30 p.m. Wednesday night.

They named the child’s mother, Rajon Drake, 30, as the suspect that took her.

The child was found at a White Castle in Columbus, according to WBNS TV in Columbus.

Police say the child is back with her legal guardian and no arrests were made.

A statewide Amber Alert has been issued for a 10-year-old girl from the Columbus area.

The Grove City Police Department says a child was taken by her mother at 11:28 p.m. Wednesday night and is believed to be in danger.

The child’s name is Miangel Thomas. She is 10 years old, 4′0 tall, weighs 60 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing a blue/green leopard print one-piece with tan Crocs.

The suspect’s name is Rajon Drake, 30. She is 5′3 tall, weighs 150 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes. Hair is black medium length pulled back in braids.

The vehicle involved is a blue 2013 Dodge Avenger with Ohio plate number JTC1000 with heavy front-end damage and no side mirrors.
