PORTAGE COUNTY — An unsecured load was blamed for a scary incident on a northern Ohio highway after a 2x8 board flew into the windshield of a car, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The incident happened June 17 on I-80 in Portage County, located south of Cleveland, state troopers said in a social media post Monday.
State troopers said the driver who lost part of his load was not aware the board flew off. However he was cited for having an unsecured load.
Neither the driver of the car nor her passenger were injured in the close call.
Additional details were not released.
