CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Browns have provided an update after on of their top defensive players was injured in a crash earlier this week.
Defensive end Myles Garrett was involved in a rollover crash Monday as he attempted to swerve out of the way of an animal, according to WOIO, a CBS affiliate.

“Myles has sustained a shoulder sprain, bicep strain, minor lacerations, as well as some bumps and bruises to various other body parts. Myles didn’t suffer any fractures and also has cleared concussion protocol,” the statement said.
The statement goes on to say that Garrett’s availability for Sunday’s game in Atlanta is unknown and he will continue to be evaluated by doctors.
Garrett has not said anything publicly about the crash but his agent said on social media that he was “alert and responsive.”
A passenger was in the car during the crash and also sustained non-life-threatening injuries, according to WOIO.
