Road crews reopened East Taggart Street on Monday which will allow traffic to and from Pennsylvania to flow, a Norfolk Southern spokesperson said.

It comes more than eight months after February’s fiery train crash.

Crews have removed enough toxic soil from the derailment site to safely reopen the road, according to the spokesperson.

The EPA is still not finished testing.

Crews will collect about 2,500 soil samples over the next three months.
