COLUMBUS — A young girl in Columbus has been seriously injured after a man allegedly threw a brick at a car which then hit her in the head, our media partners in Columbus, WBNS-TV reported.

29-year-old Brandon Roberts was identified as the suspect by Columbus police.
He has been arrested and charged with felonious assault, WBNS reported.
On Monday, Oct. 23, a woman, a man, and his child were traveling on a Columbus roadway when someone threw a brick at their vehicle.
The brick shattered the driver’s side rear window and struck the child in her head, WBNS reported.
NBC4, another station in Columbus, reported that the man allegedly attempted to throw the brick at the woman, but missed.
She was taken to a local children’s hospital with serious injuries.
The young girl has a fractured skull and needs surgery to repair it, according to Franklin County Municipal Court records.
It is not clear what led to the alleged incident as details were not provided.
Roberts is scheduled to appear in municipal court on Wednesday.

The Columbus Police Department’s Felony Assault Unit continues to investigate this incident.
Roberts has previous criminal charges from 2022. He has faced charges that include having weapons while under disability, possession of drugs, domestic violence, assault, and aggravated menacing, NBC4 reports.
