COLUMBUS — Governor Mike DeWine has ordered all United States and State of Ohio flags to be flown at half-staff in remembrance of the victims of Saturday’s outlet mall shooting in Allen, Texas.

Eight people died and at least seven others were injured on Saturday after a gunman opened fire at an outlet mall in a suburb north of Dallas, authorities said.
Allen Fire Department Chief Jonathan Boyd said that six people were killed at the Allen Premium Outlets in Allen, Texas. Two others died at area hospitals, bringing the total number of fatalities to eight. The gunman was also killed and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
DeWine’s announcement comes in accordance with orders by President Joe Biden.
Flags will be flown at half-staff at public buildings throughout the State of Ohio until sunset on Thursday, May 11.
